Having established Tata Limited in 1907 to represent it in Europe, the group has grown to comprise 19 companies and a 60,000-strong workforce spread across the region.
Tata companies include some well-known brands in Europe, among them: Tetley Tea, Tata Steel Europe, Jaguar, Land Rover, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Communications, Tata Chemicals Europe (formerly Brunner Mond), and Indian Hotel Company Limited (Taj).
Tata enjoys a long-standing relationship with the UK. Our founder, Jamsetji Tata, travelled from India to visit the Lancashire cotton mills in the late 1800s, which led to the foundation of The Empress Cotton Mills in Nagpur, India, and the group has been playing a major role in strengthening the British economy and its industrial roots.
